Every summer I would go when we had the Baker Family condo (I miss that place). We still go every winter to ski, but this was the first time in 5 yrs I went in the summer. I am a real beach person, but I forgot how much I love the mountains too, nothing like fresh mountain and blue sky's.

Back at the hotel at Newport Coast, I just love it down there. Almost had my husband convinced to move there...Then the Economy tanked, that ruined that idea (at least for now). I guess it just makes it more special to visit (grumble-grumble), especially since my brother Matt lives there.

Kirk: "Hey boys if someone told you to jump off a cliff (into a blow hole) would you do it?."

Boys: "Ya Dad since you did it!" Kirk is thee Biggest kid.

Early Father's Day for Kirk! A Daddy-Daughter Weekend

Tiffany loves her Dad, the outdoors and the beauty of the mountains. She has been wanting him to come up a take her fly fishing again to improve her skills. Anyone who knows Kirk, KNOWS he LOVES fly fishing, especially on the Provo River. So what is a Dad supposed to do...take his girl fly fishing! For an extra special "Father's Day Treat" Tiff and I made arrangements that Kirk did not know about until he left for Provo. They spent the weekend at the beautiful Sundance Resort, had a private guide on the river, and had wonderful dinners at the "Tree House and Happy Sumo's Sushi Restaurants ."

Greg and Dianna Baker

This past month they would have celebrated their 50th wedding anniversary. They only made it to their 25th; he was taken from cancer much too young at the age of 45. He was a the most enthusiastic and loving man I ever knew. Besides my own father (they were close friends) He was one of my personal heroes. He loved his wife, 6 boys and his Savior. His many acts of kindness on this earth demonstrated that. He touched so many lives and was beyond generous and energy filled the room the moment he entered. He somehow accomplished so much in such little time. His legacy lives on through his wonderful sons. We appreciate all that he and Dianna instilled in their boys. His daughters in laws and grandchildren are blessed from their example and wisdom they instilled. Dianna thought it would be an nice time to have a over due family reunion. So May 22nd and 23rd all six brothers and wives and all their children were able to come together. It was sweet and blissful chaos! WONDERFUL MEMORIES WERE MADE.

Greg and Dianna Baker's posterity, so far...22 grandchildren. NOTE: If there are any added numbers to this gang it WILL NOT be from Stacy and Kirk. We are the oldest and most... well let just say were done. But they sure are all cute kids

Jack Hammering out the old concrete for new stamped concrete Meanwhile...While workers began the beautification process on the our house, we did some community volunteer work along with other church friends to help beautify our city this weekend. Kirk has always TRIED to ingrain the kids that "Work Is A Blessing." When they murmur he makes them repeat that motto back to him. But Austin had so much FUN getting red paint everywhere he said with enthusiasm "Work Really Is A Blessing!" That made the sandy wind gusts in the face worth it.
